Markaz Aleawn Alyaqin Humanitarian Service
History
This Humanitarian Service commenced from the late 1980s, where the father of the founder was a teacher and preacher within the Muslim dominated cities, towns and villages across Ghana. He resorted to providing the necessary help for the less privileged and orphans.
It was informally established by the late Sheikh Adam Baba who was the then Regional Chief Imam of Ashanti Region of Ghana. After his demise, his biological brother Sheikh Mohammed Kamil who is the current Deputy National Imam of Ahlusunnah Wal-Ja’mah – Ghana, took over and continue running the agenda. They extended humanitarian help such as providing scholarship to the brilliant but needy students and orphans. He continued to extend support by establishing Schools, Masjid, boreholes, Jihad preaching to deprived communities, Humanitarian support to widows, prisoners and the physically challenged were also among the support rendered.
In furtherance, Markaz Aleawn Alyaqin was established by Ismail Mohammed Kamil who is a son to Sheikh Mohammed Kamil, he has been a very supporting fellow to his father in executing all the above-mentioned support. The main purpose for establishing MAA is to continue the activities of the already existing agenda of the humanitarian service mentioned above.
The need to sustain and make this humanitarian service globally recognized as well as to continue the visionary agenda of our parent, called for the establishment and legal registration of Markaz Aleawn Alyaqin Humanitarian Service.
The ultimate goal is to make sure that the Muslim Ummah have their own institution from Crèche to University; that every Muslim child get access to good and quality education; that every deprived community that lacks water get access to good water; that every community that do not have Masjid get at least one Masjid; and that every community get at least one clinic that will provide good and quality healthcare to the people. Skill Training and vocational institution is also a key goal of Markaz Aleawn Alyaqin to make sure that, the people are equipped with pre-requisite skills of living a better life.
