About Jamasi Community
Jamasi faces significant water-access challenges. The area’s underlying granitic bedrock has low natural water-holding capacity, which makes boreholes difficult to sustain unless drilling intersects fractured zones. As a result, residents rely heavily on a limited number of hand-pump wells, which are often overcrowded, especially in the early morning when many households fetch water.
